Bickford APM & Accessories
The APM audio patient monitor is a compact, portable, battery powered, solid state electronic audio amplifier having special characteristics for sensing the low frequency pressure pulses of the cardiovascular system and the sounds of respiration. Heart/pulse and/or respiration sounds are picked up by a sensor unit from an esophageal stethoscope tube or chest piece cup, amplified and presented audibly from a speaker and visually by a flashing red indicator light. A beeper sound function is selected by a mode switch for increased audibility in heart monitoring.
